At my parent's house my dad has herbs growing in pots outside on the back deck. When I'm home, I can wander outside, pick some fresh basil, parsley, you name it he grows it. It's pretty fantastic. I was at the farmers market the other day, and there was a woman selling potted basil plants. They were only a dollar, and I figured if I killed it, at least I would get a dollars worth of basil out of the deal. Well it's been 5 whole days, and my basil isn't dead yet. I move it around on the porch to keep it in the sun as long as possible. My roommates have taken to moving it to the sunny spots too. It's like a little pet. Anyway, I figured its 5 day anniversary was a necessary post. Happy 5th day alive with me, basil!
